Read below to find out more about some of the different activities we have been getting up to; from sporting and musical activities, to visitors and 'wow' days. We are looking forward to helping our children 'explore and grow' further in 2023-24.

  • Quadkids Athletics

    Thu 25 May 2017 M Davis

Our Quadkids squad did really well on Thursday - especially in the heat! A huge thank you to Mr Saunders for putting up his gazebo to give the children some shade.

Mrs Ranson reports that the children threw and jumped really well, and did brilliantly in the sprints against some quite tough opposition. She was particularly proud of their long distance run. We are still awaiting final results.

Thank you to all the parents who transported the children so that they could take part and to Mrs Ranson for leading the squad.

  • Letter from an Author!

    Thu 11 May 2017 M Davis

Class 2 were very excited today to receive a letter from Julia Donaldson, author of 'The Gruffalo', 'The Smartest Giant in Town' and 'A Squash and a Squeeze' amongst other many well-loved children's books.

As part of their literacy topic last term, they had written letters to the author asking her about how she writes her books and telling her about what they enjoyed in her books.

Julia replied to many of our questions, and added a personal note to the children, as well as sending some stickers for them. We hope this will inspire some young authors in our school!

Thank you Julia, and keep writing your fantastic books!
