  • Kingswood update

    Thu 22 May 2014
The children had a good night's sleep. Everyone is fine, behaving and having lots of fun. Yesterday's activities included: zip wire, swimming, low ropes, crate stacking, team tech and tam challenge. Some did abseiling and our evening entertainment was Mini Olympics, which was pure entertainment! The weather has been fantastic. We did have heavy rain over night, but it's now dry, though a bit chilly. We have just eaten breakfast and we are prepping for our first activity.
  • Rutland Primary School Swimming Gala

    Thu 01 May 2014
Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Swimming Gala this week. After some initial heats against local schools, we were represented in four races at semi-final level and Jacob made it through to the final in both his races. Congratulations to Andrew for 5th place in his heat for the front crawl, narrowly missing out on a place in the semi-final. Elijah made it through to the Year 6 semi-finals for butterfly and breast stroke, eventually coming 8th in the county for butterfly and 12th for breast stroke. Congratulations. Jacob competed in the finals for back crawl and front crawl. He came 6th in the county for front crawl, and narrowly missed out on a medal position, coming 4th, for back crawl. Not only were the boys excellent in the water, but they were a pleasure to be with on the side of the pool.
