  • FOEGS Easter Egg Hunt

    Fri 07 Apr 2017 M Davis

A huge thank you to FOEGS, our parents and friends association, for organising their annual egg hunt. A good time was had by all hunting for plastic eggs, to discover who had the magic golden tickets.

Thank you to Alan, John, Penny and Sheila for giving up their time to give the children so much fun.

  • Easter in a Day

    Thu 06 Apr 2017 M Davis

What a fantastic day we had on Thursday!

We started our Easter day by walking up to St Peter and St Paul's Church in Exton to share our Easter Service. Class 3 children told the story, and we all joined in with the lusty singing. Thank you to Mr Davis for coming to play the organ, and to Marcus for coming and talking to us about Easter.

Once we returned to school there was just enough time to decorate our hard boiled eggs before lunch in time for egg rolling in the afternoon.

We had a fantastic time rolling eggs down the ramp to see whose would go the furthest - and all were hard boiled this year! The nursery came to join us too. Then it was outside into the sunshine for an egg hunt and egg and spoon races. The weather was very kind to us this year - warm enough to hunt, but not so hot as to melt the chocolate!

  • Spotlight Dance

    Wed 05 Apr 2017 M Davis

What a triumph! All of the children who took part in our Spotlight Dance performance this year should be very proud of themselves. You were amazing!

This year we looked very smart in our blazers, shirts, ties and dark glasses. We were truly 'men in black'. You worked so hard to ensure the choreography was perfect and that the dance was polished and confident. On the first night it was lovely to see children giving it a go, and stepping out onto the stage, even though they were very nervous, to discover that wonderful feeling of adrenalin when you finish performing and have done well. The second performance was equally good, and nerves had gone.

Thank you to Hayley for choreographing our routine, to Miss Bevins for supervising rehearsals, to Mrs Watchorn for finding a source for the blazers and to Mrs Wardle for sewing ties!
