Read below to find out more about some of the different activities we have been getting up to; from sporting and musical activities, to visitors and 'wow' days. We are looking forward to helping our children 'explore and grow' further in 2023-24.

  • Farewell to the chicks!

    Fri 20 Jun 2014

We have really enjoyed hatching our chicks this year! For the first year, all 10 eggs successfully hatched, netting us 3 girls and 7 boys. They were keen to be with us, and were all hatched within 48 hours of the first crack appearing in an egg. We all enjoyed talking to them and were able to handle them in the second week they were with us. We are pleased that one family has taken the three girls, and hope to hear when they have laid their first eggs themselves!

  • Wildflower Meadows

    Sun 15 Jun 2014
We have all really enjoyed learning the songs for Wildflower Meadows; the piece of music commissioned by Arts for Rutland for the primary schools of Rutland to sing at the Mobilisation event at Kendrew Barracks.

We were all able to join in singing with some other schools in Rutland in the preceding week at Oakham Chapel, ably conducted by Mr Davis.

Some of us then joined with other children to give up the end of our Sunday Afternoon for the World Premiere performance. The sound was amazing, and it was a great experience.
  • Foeg's meeting

    Tue 10 Jun 2014
The next FOEG's meeting is taking place in the community room at 2.30pm on Tuesday 10th June - all welcome.
