Harvest Festival
Fri 26 Sep 2014The children demonstrated some of the wonderful work they have been doing linked to Harvest at our Harvest Festival this morning. From some super songs, rhymes and acting from Reception and KS1, to sharing what we have learnt about the work of Christian Aid and some prayers from KS2, there was a lot for parents and relatives to enjoy!
Thank you so much to all the children, parents, friends and relations who sent in tins and packets for us to send to the Rutland Food Bank. This local charity does so much good work for the local community, ensuring that families in crisis can put food on the table.

The School is Alive with the Sound of Music!
Tue 16 Sep 2014Music was resonating through the school building today. Mr Paul McClure began his peripatetic music teaching in the community room this morning. Banging and crashing reverberated around the entrance hall as the children put the drum kit through its paces!
This afternoon, Key Stage 2 created some excellent mood compositions using the classroom percussion inspired by the film music from Gladiator and Harry Potter.
Mr McClure is offering lessons on drums, keyboard, piano, ukulele and guitar. Please contact the office for further details and costs if your child is interested.

School Award Winners!
Thu 04 Sep 2014At the end of the Summer Term there was a county-wide competition aimed at increasing electrical recycling. All schools were invited to encourage parents and the community to bring in electrical items for recycling which would then be collected.
We are very pleased to announce that Exton & Greetham CE Primary School managed to collect the most electrical recycling and that therefore we were awarded the first prize of £400 in Amazon vouchers which can go towards new resources for the children who attend our school.
Thank you to all who bought in items for recycling. We couldn't have done it without you!

Past Pupil Success!
Thu 04 Sep 2014A huge congratulations to Roseanne Maiden who has been awarded the Year 11 Principal's Award at CBEC. This is an award given for hard work, dedication and going above and beyond, values we teach here at primary school and that are developed in our children's secondary education, whichever school they choose to move on to.
We are always pleased to hear from past pupils about their achievements. Do let us know if you have been doing anything exciting! Although you have moved on to bigger things, we still think of you here and consider you part of our extended school family.
