Primary Athletics
Wed 15 Jun 2011On Tuesday we had the athletics heats for the Casterton family, and we were very proud that 14 of our Key Stage 2 children made it through to the Rutland heats and finals.
The children all did their best in the finals on Wednesday and we are very proud of their achievements. Many children got through the heats to run in the top 6 in the county in their races. Special congratulations go to Rachel (75m) and Brendan (1000m walk) who have both been selected to represent Rutland on July 1st.
As always the children were all a credit to the school, with super behaviour and good sportsmanship. It was lovely to hear all the encouragement from the sidelines for their peers! Many thanks to all the parents who came to support too. -
France Update
Tue 24 May 2011Thursday
Another fun packed day ahead. We are off to visit the caves this morning and back to the Chateau for lunch. This afternoon we are heading for the beach followed by a disco in the evening. Frogs legs and snails are on the menu for tea tonight, so the children will get the opportunity to try them if they wish too. The weather is not as good as yesterday but we will not let it stop us enjoying the day.
