  • National Singup Day

    Wed 09 Feb 2011
We had a song-tastic day on the 9th February sharing all our singing skills across the school! We took up the National Singup Day star challenge, which asked us to try and collect at least 50 stars by completing different challenges. We ended the day having collected 90 stars from activities including:
    • young song leaders leading songs across the school
    • a singing assembly
    • singing in 2 parts
    • singing and playing playground games and songs
    • singing and signing a song
    • making a list of our favourite songs for a school playlist
Class 3 took the lead, and were enthusiastically sharing songs and games learnt at the Playground Games and Songs workshop.

We are looking forward to receiving our star challenge plaque, and hope this is swiftly followed by our Singup Gold Award. Watch this space!

  • Sing Up Playground

    Fri 28 Jan 2011

On Friday 28th January 6 other Rutland schools joined us at Exton as we hosted a singing event in association with Singup. We learnt lots of playground games to take back to our schools as singing leaders. Listen out for songs from the playground if you are walking past the school! All of Key Stage 2 were lucky enough to participate in the workshop, and really enjoyed working with Kirsty Body to learn action songs, passing songs, clapping songs and ball songs. See the gallery for photos!
