Year 6 Residential
Our Year 6 children had a fantastic time last week on their residential with St Nicholas and Whissendine schools. The children went to Whitehall in Derbyshire, spending three days taking part in a number of outdoor activities, including, rock scrambling, canoeing, mountain biking, high ropes and zip wire to name just a few!
Mr Bates reported that the children from Exton & Greetham school were a credit to the school and their parents and were a pleasure to have with them. Mrs Davis visited on Thursday and enjoyed watching the children face fears and take part in new activities and adventures - she's not sure she'd have been brave enough to go down the zip wire!
It was a great way to start the academic year, and gave the children a chance to put all 6 Rs into practice - making sure they were ready for each activity, behaving responsibly, being respectful, being resourceful when they needed to work something out, being resilient when challenged and reflective at the end of the day.
What a great start to the year!
