During the lockdown, Cobalt Class were working on their persuasive writing and the different sentence types they could use in this sort of writing.

 

Mrs Larratt set them the task of writing a persuasive piece about why parents should send their children to our school. It is lovely to see that so many of the children see it as important that we treat all children as individuals, and celebrate their differences; as well as their focus on how our school rule (We are kind, we are honest, we forgive.) helps to frame our lives in school.

A reason why you should send your child to Exton & Greetham CE Primary School is because it enables your child to feel free and accepted in the school. There are also nice and caring teachers at this school who will help you learn and make you the most intelligent you can be. 

 

The more the children feel welcomed, the more they learn. It is obvious from your first day, that everyone cares - you will see the kids caring for each other in this school and upholding the school rules, which are highly regarded as one of the most important things in this school. The teachers and children also embrace the differences of other children, giving another reason why your child should attend this school. Everyone is different - some people are academic and love facts; others are physical or creative.

 

Because there are only three classes, the children get to know their teachers very well and the teachers get to know the children. Because there are only approximately 70n children in the school, everyone knows and cares for each other.

It is obvious from your first visit that everyone in our school feels happy and know their friends are important.

 

In every school you will see they have special rules. In Exton & Greetham School there are three important rules and they are: be kind, be honest and forgive.

 

In this school some people are academic and love facts and figures; others are physical or creative. Some people love pets. All learning skills are different and are celebrated and children are allowed to learn in different ways. A lot of the children use different things like; MP3, headphones, fidget toys or fidget bands. It is good because it helps them to concentrate.

Exton School's lessons are fun as well as helpful. Teachers are always looking out for people who are sad or not well. If you need a break you’re allowed a minute to have a brain break, which means you can go outside and run around or go into the book corner. There are extra fun lessons like art, not just maths and English, as well as geography. They are welcoming to new students.

I have been to around 12 to 13 different schools in my life, but if I had a list of my top schools, Exton and Greetham Primary School would be in my top three schools, not only because of its three rules: we are kind, we are honest, we forgive; but also because this school gives children a chance, a chance because they are free to be themselves.

 

Some people are academic and love facts and figures. Others are physical or creative. At Exton and Greetham, all learning styles are celebrated and children are allowed to learn the way that is the greatest choice for the children. Wouldn’t you want this for your child/ children?

As you know, some people work in different ways. Some are physical or creative. The more children learn the way that is right for them, the better learner they become.We have a suggested timetable. We are academic and we love helping each other by the school rules. 

 

Because we only have three classes, we (the children) know our teachers very well as well as the older ones know the little ones. As a fact there are only 72 children in the school so we all look after each other. The more children that come to school, the more friends they make.

At Exton and Greetham School they give you fidget toys and chew toys. At Exton and Greetham they give you nice work and you can do it whilst listening to the calm app. They have a special teacher that helps people with a learning disability. At Exton and Greetham you will learn the importance of people with learning disabilities – you will know they are like normal people, but are a little different as well as making new friends. We’ve got some lovely rules as well. I’ll tell you them now. First is we forgive, second is we’re honest and third we’re kind to others.
