Sports Day 2014

What a beautiful day for a Sports Day! The weather is being very kind to us this year!

I have nothing but praise for the children and their sportsmanship. The children were split into 6 mixed age teams, and it was lovely to see older children supporting and encouraging younger children, and younger children cheering for the older children. Round Robin activities included a skipping relay, a traffic light relay, football dribbling, hoopla, hockey dribbling and the infamous obstacle course. After this we had a team relay, followed by the year group sprints. Finally we had a parents/ relatives race where the participants had to run with bean bags balanced on their heads! It was a fiercely fought race! Well done to Conner's dad who won.

The winning team was team 1 with an impressive score of 1700! All the children received a medal for good sportsmanship and they were also rewarded with an ice pop in the afternoon.
