RLT Swimming Gala
Well done to our team of year 5/6 swimmers who took part in the RLT swimming gala this afternoon. Mrs Ranson said that you all did amazingly in your heats and there was some excellent swimming.A bronze medal and a silver medal were won in individual events - what a fantastic achievement from the smallest school in the trust.
We also had success in the mixed really events, with seem helpers from other schools to make up our team numbers. Our Year 5 mixed relay team did very well in their heat, with a friend from Oakham CE to make up the mixed team; and our Year 6 mixed relay team came third, bagging a bronze medal with the help of two lovely volunteers from Langham and Whissendine schools.
One of the lovely things about being part of the Rutland Learning Trust is the support and teamwork shown between schools. This means that larger schools, who may not be able to use everyone who is keen to have a go in their team, are able to lend swimmers to smaller schools, like ours, to make up relay teams.
Thank you Mrs Ranson for giving up your afternoon to accompany the children.
