Friday 4th November was the Rutland Learning Trust Maths day and there were a variety of maths activities going on across the school.

 

The theme of the day was 'maths through art' and the children enjoyed looking for maths in art work, and creating mathematical art of their own. 

 

EYFS and year 1 looked at creating artwork using the 2D shapes that they knew, whilst at the other end of the school children were exploring the work of Mondrian and creating artwork using different perimeters and areas and looking at Mondrian's paintings.

 

A good time was had by all!
