Our EYFS and KS1 children had a great time today at the RLT KS1 Athletics Festival at Corby Athletics Track. The weather was certainly very kind to us - if a little hot!

Visiting the Athletics Track in Corby gave the children the experience of what it was like to be on a 'real' track for their running races, as well as providing plenty of space for other activities. There were a range of events for the children to take part in, from throwing and jumping, to obstacle and running races. 

The children worked alongside children from other schools, and it was lovely to hear that our children were seen following our school rules and being kind and honest, with lovely manners, and cheering on children from other schools, as well as children from our own.

A huge thank you to the staff who accompanied them from school, and to the people in the wider Trust who organised the day.

There were many tired but happy faces when they returned to school and we are sure they will all sleep well tonight!
