Hinduism Trip
KS2 had a fantastic, informative trip yesterday to visit a Mandir in Leicester as part of our work on Hinduism in RE.
We started the day at the St Philip's Centre looking at different artefacts and sharing what we had learnt in school already.
We then went to the Mandir and were able to look around and observe what happened there, as well as speak to the priest. He told us lots of interesting things about the Hindu faith. It was particularly interesting to note that one of the ceiling paintings showed key figures from all the major religions, including Jesus, as they believe that all people are equal and should be respected.
Pictures can be found in the gallery. Many thanks to Mr Richardson for his expert photography.
