Fort Henry Walk

Another glorious day of weather meant that our walk to Fort Henry was beautiful! We are very lucky to be in a school so close to open fields and we enjoyed walking through the fields of crops and poppies as we followed the path to Fort Henry.

Everyone was able to walk at their own pace. Mrs KK led the way, while Mrs Davis bought up the rear. It was lovely to be joined by so many parents, including one of our new families for September.

Mrs Wardle met us at Fort Henry with all the packed lunches and we enjoyed sitting under the trees while we enjoyed our picnics. Batteries recharged, it was then time to make our way back.

We are obviously all fitter this year, as we were back at school much quicker and were soon enjoying ice pops in the shade on the playground.

Many thanks to all who joined us on the walk, and enjoyed a well deserved cup of tea on their return. Thank you also to Mrs Wardle for transporting lunches so that we didn't have lots to carry.
