FOEGS Task Force
A huge thank you to all parents, governors, pupils, family and friends who came on Saturday to help rejuvenate our school grounds.
The weather was kind to us and there was a real sense of purpose from everyone who came. Younger children picked up rotten apples and gathered ones we could eat from the trees, as well as helping with weeding. Older children helped with pruning, weeding and painting, while the adults were able to paint and preserve the covered area, mend hinges, begin making a mud kitchen for EYFS/ KS1, build raised beds, prune the wildlife area, clean the pond, mend and clear the greenhouse and move things around to make our grounds look more inviting.
A special thank you to Hannah's granddad, who has offered to pick up the rubbish and also take away the pagoda from the remembrance garden and mend it so that it can be used again safely.
It was lovely to have so many people to help, including past pupils. It really was a case of many hands make light work.
