We were really pleased to be able to enter two teams for the Rutland Basketball Tournament at USSC this term. All our year 5 and 6 pupils took part. They displayed some great teamwork, playing with determination and encouraging each other. There was some skilled basketball on display with impressive dribbling, passing and shooting. At one stage both teams were playing matches on adjacent courts and both won! One o four team won their League so were invited back to play for the TOP 8 places last Thursday. Again, they were a credit to the school. They narrowly missed out on a final placing when, after a close match against Brooke Priory School, the result had to be decided on by a penalty shootout. All 8 team members bravely stepped up to take a shot and only missed out on a 'sudden death' basket. They finished an amazing 6th out of 37 teams.
