World Book Day was celebrated at school on Friday 7th March to allow us to enjoy a full day of activities without being interrupted by swimming!

 

It was lovely to have so many parents and carers join us for our reading breakfast, sharing books and toast together first thing in the morning.

 

There were opportunities to share texts all day, and a focus on a 'love of reading'.

 

In the afternoon there was a reading quiz in the hall. The winning entries to the story competition were also shared. Well done to everyone who entered, and particularly to Joseph, Scarlet, Bertie, Eleanor, Zion and Thea who wrote our winning entries.

 

The day ended with a book 'lucky dip' as the children left the classroom.
