Year 3

Welcome to Term 6!

It has now been nearly 2 and a half months since I last saw your children and I am missing them greatly! I never thought that when I became a teacher I would be sat at a laptop behind a desk. However, I think your children have been amazing throughout this and have shown great resilience when things changed over night for them. I know sometimes motivation has dipped, even for me, but when they need to take a day out to reset, they are still learning in normal every day activities. They may have learnt how to ride a bike without stabilisers, how to load the dishwasher, how to become independent in different ways so parents are able to work and they have got used to new formats and working off sheets These are all amazing things that they wouldn't have learnt being at school.

We have tried out a variety of ways of sending home learning and I think it is a general view that the children have been more motivated when they are able to select some of their own learning, therefore I have still put included the children selecting their own activities for Grammar/ spellings and for the 'Other' pack. This term I have also included and art pack where children can practice the skill of  drawing using inspiration from Quentin Blake.

Although I am going to be in school working with the Key Worker children, I still have access to my dojo and therefore can send any videos to help with activities or any support or guidance needed.

Hope you have all had a wonderful Half Term

Miss Barker :)
