Welcome to

Exton & Greetham CE Primary School

We took our knowledge of solids, liquids and gases a step further this week by learning all about their molecular structures and how these change when it changes state.

This term in science, we are learning all about the properties of materials and states of matter so today we have been exploring solids liquids and gasses! We have learnt that...

  • solids hold their shape and the mass stays the same
  • liquids will take the shape of the container they are in but the amount of space they take up stays the same
  • gasses will move to fill the space available to them

check out the pictures below to see us learning!

In science we learn most through exploration and discovery, so far we have covered:

  • animals and their habitats
  • food chains
  • plant life cycles
  • seed dispersal
  • The human body
  • Digestive system
  • Circulatory system

We used dance to explore the different ways the plants disperse their seeds, take a look at the end results!
